Mumbai Local Train Mega Block on Sunday, Check Timings and Cancelled Trains List

A mega block will be in effect today, Sunday, April 26, on the local train network, considered Mumbai’s lifeline. According to the Railway Administration, this block is being implemented for track maintenance, signalling, and repairs to overhead equipment. Passengers on the Western and Harbour Lines will be primarily affected. However, there is some relief for Central Railway passengers as no block has been announced there.

Harbour Line: Block between CSMT and Bandra and Chunabhatti

On the Harbour Line, the block will be in effect today from 11:10 am to 4:40 pm on both the up and down lines.

Down services: Trains from CSMT to Vashi, Belapur, and Panvel will be cancelled from 11:16 am to 4:47 pm. Additionally, services to Bandra and Goregaon will be suspended from 10:48 am to 4:43 pm.

Up services: Trains departing from Panvel, Belapur, and Vashi for CSMT from 9:53 am to 3:20 pm will not operate. Trains arriving from Goregaon and Bandra will be cancelled from 10:45 am to 5:13 pm.

Alternative arrangements: Special trains will run every 20 minutes between Panvel and Kurla during the block. Harbour Line passengers are permitted to travel via the Main Line and Western Railway from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Western Line: Work between Jogeshwari and Dahisar

A 10-hour-long mega block will be observed on Western Railway today. This block will primarily be between Jogeshwari and Ram Mandir, and near Dahisar station.

The block is expected to end by 8:15 am. Passengers travelling early in the morning may experience some delays and partial cancellations. Passengers are advised to check the revised timetable before leaving the station.

Services will remain normal on these lines

Journeys will be pleasant today on other Mumbai train routes:

Central (Main) Line: There is no mega block; trains will run as scheduled.

Trans-Harbour Line: Services on the Thane-Vashi/Panvel route will not be affected.

Uran Line: All local trains will operate normally on this route as well.

Important Tips for Passengers

Due to the block, train congestion may increase in affected areas. The Railways have urged passengers to plan their travel and leave home with extra time to reach their destination. To avoid any inconvenience, get the latest information from the official Railways app or enquiry counters.
