Citroën Aircross Becomes Costlier In India, Check New Price and Features

French automobile company Citroën has increased the price of its popular SUV, the Citroën Aircross, in the Indian market. Following this update, the model has become more expensive by approximately ₹42,000. The SUV’s starting ex-showroom price, which was ₹8.49 lakh (ex-showroom), has now increased to ₹8.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec variant now costs approximately ₹14.56 lakh (ex-showroom). The price changes also include some new features and design updates, making it appear more premium.

Premium Interior and Advanced Technology

The cabin of the new Aircross X has been further enhanced to make it more premium. It features a leather-wrapped dashboard, soft-touch materials, and a dual-tone interior theme, which provides a luxurious experience inside the car. Features like push-button start/stop, white ambient lighting, LED fog lamps, and an auto-dimming IRVM are also included. For passenger convenience, leatherette upholstery and an optional 360-degree camera are also provided.

The SUV also features the company’s new CARA in-car AI assistant. This system can understand voice commands in 52 languages ​​and provides the driver with important navigation information.

Engine and Performance

The Citroën Aircross retains the same engine options, with no mechanical changes. The SUV comes with two petrol engine options. The first is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 81 bhp and is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The second is a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 108 bhp and is available with a 6-speed manual or a torque-converter automatic gearbox.

Safety and Crash Tests

This SUV is also considered quite robust in terms of safety. It received a 5-star safety rating in crash tests, demonstrating its robust body structure and safety standards. It is equipped with over 40 safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. In the Indian market, the Citroën Aircross competes with popular SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos.
