The festival of Holi is approaching, and millions of people travel from other cities to their homes. To manage crowds during the festival, Indian Railways has decided to run several special trains from various parts of the country. These trains will operate on the Patna-New Delhi, Mumbai Central-Katihar, Sheikhpura-New Delhi, and Dhanbad-Shakurbasti routes.
03293/03294 Patna Junction-New Delhi-Patna Junction
Northern Railway will operate train number 03293 from Patna Junction railway station at 9 pm from March 5, 2026, to March 15, 2026 (daily). The train will arrive at New Delhi railway station at 12:50 pm the next day.
Similarly, train number 03294 will operate from New Delhi railway station from March 6, 2026, to March 16, 2026 (daily) at 2:15 pm. This train will arrive at Patna Junction at 12:25 am the next day. Regarding stoppages, the train will stop at Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Subedarganj, and Govindpuri stations.
02397/02398 Sheikhpura – New Delhi – Sheikhpura
Northern Railway will operate train number 02397 from Sheikhpura on March 1, 2026, at 11:30 am and arrive at New Delhi Railway Station at 11:40 am the next day. Similarly, train number 02398 will depart from New Delhi Railway Station on March 2, 2026, at 1:30 pm and arrive at Sheikhpura the next day at 2:45 pm. Both special trains will stop at Warisaliganj, Nawada, Tilaiya, Gaya Junction, Anugrah Narayan Road, Dehri on Sone, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Prayagraj Junction, Govindpuri, and Tundla Junction stations along their route.
09189/09190 Mumbai Central-Katihar-Mumbai Central
Northern Railway will operate train number 09189 from Mumbai Central every Saturday from February 28, 2026, to March 28, 2026, at 10:55 am, arriving at Katihar at 7:30 am the next day. Similarly, train number 09190 will depart from Katihar Junction every Tuesday from February 24, 2026, to March 31, at 12:15 am, and arrive at Mumbai Central the next day at 6:40 pm.
Now, regarding stoppages, this train will stop at Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ratlam, Ujjain, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Vidisha, Bina, Veerangna Laxmibai Jhansi, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda, Mankapur, Basti, Khalilabad, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria, and Naugachhia stations.
03639/03640 Dhanbad Junction – Shakur Basti – Dhanbad Junction
Northern Railway will operate train number 03639 from Dhanbad Junction on Mondays and Fridays from March 6, 2026, to March 9, 2026, at 6:30 pm. The train will arrive at Shakur Basti at 6:10 pm the next day.
Similarly, train number 03640 will run from Shakur Basti on Tuesdays and Saturdays from March 7 to March 10 at 9:10 pm, arriving at Dhanbad Junction at 11:45 pm the next day. The train will stop at Gomoh Junction, Parasnath, Dehri on Sone, Sasaram, Sone, Bhabua Road, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Prayagraj, Govindpuri and Delhi Junction.
For the convenience of passengers, Northern Railway has decided to run four pairs of special trains on four different routes from various railway stations in New Delhi. These trains will run on the New Delhi – Prayagraj, New Delhi – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Delhi Sarai Rohilla – Sabarmati and Delhi – Bhubaneswar routes.
