UP Voter List Update Drive on Sunday, Check Your Name at Booths from 10:30 AM

A special campaign will be launched on Sunday to include names in the Uttar Pradesh voter list, make amendments, and remove the names of deceased and relocated people. Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) will be present at all booths during the campaign from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. A help desk will be set up at each booth to assist voters.

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Navdeep Rinwa stated that Form-6 will be filled out to include names in the voter list, Form-7 to remove names from the list, and Form-8 to amend names and photographs.

The District Magistrate (DM) and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) will conduct surprise inspections at all booths to assess the situation. Booth-Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by all political parties will also assist in adding names to the voter list.

During the special campaign, the draft voter list of 12.55 crore voters, released on January 6, will also be shown to people. They will be able to check whether their names are included in the list. If they are missing, they can immediately fill out Form-6. Youth in the state who turn 18 on January 1, 2026, will be able to fill out Form 6 to enrol their names in the voter list.

Voter registration forms can also be completed online through the ECI.net mobile app and the portal voters.eci.gov.in. This is the fourth special campaign, launching on Sunday. Previous special campaigns were held on January 11, 18, and 31.

Allahabad saw the highest number of new voters, 33,000.

While 1,156,000 voters were removed from the voter list, 2,23,283 have applied to become new voters. After the forms are accepted, all their names will be included in the final voter list to be published this time.

Following the publication of the draft, the Allahabad South Assembly constituency received the highest number of new applications, 32,692, among the 12 assembly constituencies in the district. Those who have not yet become new voters and have attained the age of 18 or will turn 18 on April 1, July 1, or October 1 can submit a form to become a new voter by visiting their polling booth on Sunday.

Publishing the Panchayat Voter List in Sultanpur on April 15

The schedule for the massive revision of the electoral rolls for the three-tier Panchayat elections has been changed. Under this schedule, the process of resolving claims and objections will be completed by March 16. After computerising the voter lists, mapping wards at polling stations, and downloading photocopies of the voter lists, these tasks will be completed by April 13. The final publication of the voter list for the general public will be on April 15. The previous publication date was March 28. The State Election Commissioner has issued the order.
